How do Job Boosts work?
When you post a job on Prosple, two main factors determine how high it appears in search results.
1. Relevance: This is how well your job matches what a student is searching for. It includes things like:
Job role
Location
Your company's reputation
2. Daily bid: This is where Job Boosts come in. When you boost a job:
You set a daily budget (the 'daily bid')
The higher your bid, the better your job's position in search results
Your job will appear higher in the results than similarly relevant listings that aren’t boosted
This means that while you have limited control over relevance (besides offering an exciting opportunity and a great job description to match), you have full control over the daily bid. This is your tool to stand out from the crowd.
Think of it like this: Relevance gets you in the game, but the daily bid helps you win it. By boosting your job, you're giving it the extra push it needs to catch the eye of potential applicants.
How much does a Job Boost cost?
The cost of a Job Boost is entirely in your hands.
You set the budget: Spend only what you’re comfortable with – whether that’s $3, $30, or $300 per day!
Adapt as you go: You can always start with a small bid and increase it once you see positive results.
It's important to note that a higher daily bid typically results in better visibility for your job posting. However, the ideal amount can depend on things like how competitive your field is and your specific business needs. So we leave your daily bid up to you.
Regardless of the amount you spend, we recommend:
Boosting your listing for at least a week to see meaningful results. For reference, a typical job posting runs for 30 days.
